Tittle Brothers Construction of Southgate in conjunction with Mimi’s Mission of Woodhaven are presenting a special holiday event as a way to give back to residents of the Downriver community.
In the spirit of the holidays, Greg Tittle, owner of Tittle Brothers Construction, said for the last decade his business has been adopting families for Christmas. This year, he said, they wanted to make a bigger impact.
Tittle said he is thankful for those who support his family-owned business throughout the year, so he wanted to host an event to express his appreciation.
He contacted Lisa Missler Vilella, founder of Mimi’s Mission, a community-based non-profit organization that helps thousands of Downriver residents in need each year. Vilella advised that she was all-in on this great community give back.
The duo came together to discuss different ways they could show their gratitude.
It was then when Tittle and Vilella decided to host a special community appreciation night event called “A Little Tittle Christmas.”
Tittle Brothers Construction is donating $10,000 in cash prizes to be dispersed to people who will be attending.
The first “Little Tittle Christmas” will be held at The Waterfront, 507 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 20.
Vilella said the evening’s event will begin with a three-course meal followed by an auction and “Name That Tune.”
To win the cash prizes, attendees will be competing against those sitting at other tables for “Name That Tune” that will be conducted by Joe Maroon of Disc Jockey Productions of Woodhaven.
During the auction, people will also have the opportunity to place a silent auction bid on a new 50 inch flat screen television as well as a Hatchimal, this year’s most sought after Christmas toy along with other wonderful items to bid on.
Reservations for the event opened on Dec. 1. Within 24 hours, The Waterfront reported being sold out of availability.
Tittle and Vilella said due to the enormous amount of success for their first event, they look forward to hosting another in the future.
